Rogerzmusic Goes On the Road!

These have been crazy times lately... The boyfriend has been moving in, the pseudo-former-roomie has been slowly moving out, and amidst all of this I am going to Philadelphia next week for a conference.

This weekend I'll be in Columbus to bring up one last load of the boyfriends stuff, and coincidentally it's Columbus Pride. Tomorrrow night Melissa Ferrick will be performing at "Rocking in the Streets," but I think we'll be too busy moving to make it to the show. Then Amber will be performing at Pride as the headliner. I'll be missing all of it.

Then Sunday morning I'm on a plane to Philadelphia. Once I realized that this conference is coming up so soon, it hit me that I should take some time to find cool places to visit, especially music venues. The first place that came to mind was the Tin Angel, which I remember from Susan Werner's album "Live at the Tin Angel." I look at their calendar and they have two shows that look of interest.

Monday 6/27/05
Laura Cantrell w/ Paul Burch opening

Wednesday 6/29/05
Shannon McNally w/ Todd Thibaud opening

I've also been checking out some other venues that would be interesting. The only other show that I would consider is the Gavin DeGraw / Michael Tolcher / Howie Day show on the Tuesday, but I don't think it's worth the $23.50 they're asking for tickets.

Then in the downtime of traveling, I'm hoping to catch you all up on The Killers, Martha Wainwright, and The Futureheads shows!
