Neko Case & Others on Esopus Compilation



Hearing such a resounding affirmation for Esopus (which I've never heard of) makes me want to go out and grab a copy. Of course having an accompanying CD of music which includes tracks from Neko Case, Ryan Adams, and Man Man doesn't hurt. Look below for a link to hear samples from the album.

ESOPUS 10 ON STANDS MID-MAY

Esopus Magazine's 10th issue hits newsstands mid-May. Esopus is an beautiful and imaginative magazine on the creative process, and it made Neko's list of favorite things in 2007. She's finally gotten a chance to contribute to the magazine. Her contribution? Uh, a song about ferrets of course. The mag's CD compilation for this issue is titled "Good News" and all songs on the disc were inspired by a bit of good news that each writer read about. Neko's track, performed with fellow New Pornographer Carl Newman, is called "Yon Ferrets Return"- all about ferrets that have come back from near extinction with the help of local farmers in Kansas. Go farmers & ferrets! Go Esopus!.
