Madonna... here we come!

What a trying morning... Tickets for Madonna's Chicago show went on sale at 11am this morning. At 11:01, I was getting the "no tickets available" screen of death. Ugh. I was originally trying for the $55 seats, trying to be conservative, but I couldn't find ANY seats at ANY price. I was hoping they'd open up a second show, and within minutes, they opened one on the next night. Again I tried for the $55 seats, but with no luck, so I paid the hefty $95 per ticket!

After looking at the seating chart, I'm quite happy to have not gotten the $55 seats. There are only two sections at that price, and they are practically behind the stage.

So I feel a bit surprised to be so excited to see Madonna in concert. I usually avoid the massive corporate concerts like the plague... maybe it's the dominant gay gene that is tell me to go, or maybe it's just because I respect her work and her ability to endure. Either way, she's touring on an album that I really enjoy and this will probably be my only chance I get to say that I've seen her in concert.

And of course, thanks to my friend Sal who lives in Chicago, going there for a concert is bound to be a kick-ass time (remembering the Erasure show last year)... :)
