I'm going to be a Trendsetter

Or at least that's what zSlide is telling me.

I get this email press release from this French company telling me about this new P2P (peer to peer) email services that will revolutionize the digital lifestyle. Here's a clip from the press release.

"French software company zSlide˙ announces the launch of a P2P e-Mail service to send attachments of virtually any size: zSlideMail˙."

"Thanks to zSlideMail˙ users will be able to send files in excess of 1gigabyte: over 500 high resolution photos or 4 hours of personal videos. And no need to change their habits: users will keep their e-Mail addresses unchanged, and their standard e-Mail software or web-mail account."

You can read the entire press release here (PDF), including the link to sign up for a test account.

I'm still not exactly sure what this means, other than the ability to send large attachments (not sure how the P2P thing comes in). If I get accepted for the beta release, i'll keep you posted on what I find out.

They also have quite a bit of chatter about the Apple v. French Government iTunes case on their blog: http://www.zslide.com/blog/
