SXSW Envy & CMJ Rock Hall Music Fest

Why is Austin, TX so damn cool?! As I'm reading through some of my favorite music blogs, it seems as if everyone is either there, or on their way there. If you've never heard of South by Southwest (SXSW), you should check out their website.

This recently made me think about the only music festival that I know about in Cleveland... the CMJ Rock Hall Music Fest. There were definitely some great concerts strewn throughout the city last (Futureheads, Pixies, Spoon, etc). But overall I think it was a bit of a disappointment. I'm surprised (and a bit disappointed) that it's mid-March and CMJ hasn't updated the website for this new year! However I did see that it is going to be held June 14th - 18th. I guess booking for this event is open until March 31st.

C'mon Cleveland... you can pull it off. After all, this is the home of Rock & Roll!
