New Wolf Parade

I first saw Wolf Parade open up for Modest Mouse at the Scene Pavilion (8/3/04). What a great show! Modest Mouse was amazing, which was no surprise, but most exciting was how good Wolf Parade was! They even used a Vocoder on stage, which I think is what hooked me. You have to love those Canadians. I immediately bought one of their EP's (which was sold in a folded piece of paper, inside a baggie). I instantly fell in love with their music and have been anxiously awaiting a full-length album ever since.

It's been quite some time, but I'm excited to see some movement from these guys! They have a new EP out, with a new album coming out soon on Sub Pop Records.

And of course, they have a MySpace page where you can check out a couple songs from their upcoming EP.
You can even get some free songs from their new album on their Sub Pop page .

Here's one of my favorite tracks from the EP I purchased at the show:

Here's some information I found about their new EP on Better Propoganda:

This is Wolf Parade's first release on Sub Pop. It's a 4-song EP, the first two tracks of which will be on their upcoming full-length, Apologies to the Queen Mary, due out this October. They are from Montreal and because, according to everyone from the New York Times to Spin magazine, Montreal is the next city to be made queasy and uncomfortable with media attention, this may factor in your decision to pay attention to Wolf Parade. That is a mistake but it's one we can all live with. This features 2 tracks from their upcoming album and two non-LP b-sides.
