Catching Up...



My how time flies. I can't believe how far behind I am, both in writing about shows, and even attending them!! I missed two shows last week, but I guess it's a financially smart thing... Anyone have ideas on how I can gain free access to shows, maybe using blogger status and the promotion of the venues / artists?

So you may (or may not) be asking what have I been doing?! I thought I would post a photo of my 30th birthday present from my Step-dad. This is now my 2nd CD rack that he's built for me, both being exactly the same in size. I filled the first one as soon as I got it, but had another (smaller) CD rack to take care of the overflow. Well... that overflowed. So this was a welcomed addition to my dining room. So I've been spending a good amount of time recently just sorting and shelving all my CD's. And as you can see, this one is already pretty full (that bottom row are duplicates to sell back since D & I have combined our CD's... more like my collection consumed his). ;)

My guess is that I will need just ONE more of these to set me for life. I can't imagine that I could fill another one. hmm...

In other news...

Dar Williams has announced a Cleveland date for Tuesday, November 8th (w/ Girlyman)! I'm SO f*cking excited. I was prepared to go to the Ann Arbor, MI show. I would also love to hit the Pittsburgh one, but I have a wedding that day. Being at the HOB, I like that it'll be standing room so I can get up close, but little good that does me when i can't take my camera in (and my Treo 600 pictures stink). Anyone have any ideas how I can get a camera into the HOB?

Another interesting announcement is a Cyndi Lauper show at the Lakewood High School (sorry... Civic Auditorium) on Saturday, December 3rd... which is the day after Sinead O'Connor will be at the HOB.
