Twilight Babies This Friday!

I just got an email from one of my favorite Midwest acts, the Twilight Babies from Detroit. I haven't heard from them in a while because I believe they've been in studio working on a new album. As for the type of music... if you ask me, I'd classify them as folk-infused electronica.

Here's the deets on the show:

Friday, July 15th @ Fusion, 9p to 1a (Warehouse District)
with Lushwell (opening set) and DJ Jim Stone
1214 West 6th Street, Cleveland, OH

FREE!

Now that I think of it, I can't even remember how I heard of them... The first time I saw them was at the Clevelander Bar, right down by Jacobs Field. I had never been there and didn't know what to expect. I guess the one thing I did expect was that it was a music venue. I was wrong, it was a sports bar, just like Panini's, but with a band setup. I think I was the only person there specifically to see them perform. It worked out great however, because I got to chat with the band quite a bit, sharing favorite artists and such. The next night they played at another little bar over in Lakewood (the name escapes me now), and I went to see them again (yes, they were that good).

I picked up their album, which is great, and I'm very anxious to hear their new stuff.

Here's one of my favorite tracks called Rubberband:
