Singer/songwriter Sondre Lerche [ tickets ] celebrates his second album release this year with a November headlining run behind his "Dan in Real Life" soundtrack album.

The Norwegian performer, who recently completed a string of support dates for French electronic duo Air on their September slate in California, will kick off his headlining run Nov. 7 in Vancouver, with shows scheduled in 18 US and Canadian cities. All dates for the trek are included below.

The "Dan in Real Life" album hits stores today (10/2), with the Steve Carell-led movie of the same name coming to theaters Oct. 26. The disc features 11 new Lerche compositions, a duet with singer/songwriter Regina Spektor, a cover of Pete Townshend's "Let My Love Open the Door," along with several tracks from the singer's previous albums. All original music on the set was self-produced by Lerche himself, as was A Fine Frenzy's cover of the lounge classic "Fever," which also appears on the album.

"Dan" director and co-writer Peter Hedges said in a press release that he listened to "500 different artists" while the movie was in pre-production, but kept returning to Lerche, who attended rehearsals with the actors before the start of filming.

Earlier this year, Lerche offered "Phantom Punch," his fourth studio album, which featured production from studio ace Tony Hoffer (Beck, Belle & Sebastian) and a more prominent role for his backing trio, Faces Down.

"They've been with me for over six years now so we’re a fairly dynamic group," Lerche said of the group--guitarist Kato Adland, drummer Ole Ludvig Kruger and bass man Morten Skage--in a press statement. "Hoffer helped us get that intensity on tape. We tried to do a song a day, with me singing live on every take, just like in concert, searching for that one special take."
