Thursday Night Battle: Modest Mouse vs. Au Revoir Simone



When I have a hard time making a decision, I make lists. (Hell, I make lists in my spare-time).

Modest Mouse / Band of Horses / Love as Laughter @ 7:00pm

vs.

Au Revoir Simone / Oh No Oh My / Tightrope Kaleidoscope @ 9:00pm

Pro Modest Mouse:
  • Modest Mouse is great.
  • Band of Horses!! I haven't seen them but I'd love to.
  • Would be an earlier night. For me it's more about Band of Horses, but would stay for as much of MM as I wanted.
  • Last two acts are great. Love as Laughter hasn't done much for me.
Pro Au Revoir Simone:
  • I like the new Au Revoir Simone album (though not as much as Band of Horses)
  • Would much prefer a night at the Tavern over Time Warner Pavilion (cheaper, closer)
  • A cheaper show. $8 vs. $27.50
  • Oh No! Oh My! seems like they would be good. A little disappointed with what I heard of Tightrope Kaleidoscope.
