Cleveland Concert Updates / The Killers, Of Montreal, Glen Phillips, SONiA & Disappear Fear, Tori Amos

As usual, these are updates to my calendar on the right... For a list of all shows, check there.

The Killers are coming! Friday, September 7th at the Wolstein Center. A bit unfortunate because that's the Friday night that we go back to the Black Swamp Arts Festival at my Alma Mater in Bowling Green, OH. While I would say that Killers trumps that Festival, they've gotten so big that I have a feeling the show (read: crowd) would be disappointing. Although, Hamell on Trial will be performing at BSAF, so I won't be without a good night of music.

Of Montreal will be at Hale's Gym (?) in Oberlin on Monday, October 8th! Sucks that I missed them at Pitchfork, but hopefully I can make this show.

Glen Philips (of Toad the Wet Sprocket) is coming to the Beachland (Ballroom) on Sunday, Oct. 7th. I've seen him come to the Beachland before, but never thought much of it. My friend Tim is highly recommending it, so I'll be going. His new album can be found on eMusic.com, so I'll be downloading it and checking him out.

SONiA & Disappear Fear will be there a week later, Sunday, October 14th in the Tavern. I was a big fan of SONiA back when she released Almost Chocolate and I was on my all Lesbian-folk kick. Though I think I'll have to catch up on what she's been doing and make sure is worth seeing again. But for as radical and crunchy as she is (and for $10 and being in the Tavern) it's more likely.

Tori Amos on November 1st. Venue TBD.
