NewNowNext (6/10/07)

Here's the 2nd Installment of LOGO's NewNowNext Review...

This week's list.

Justice - D.A.N.C.E
A welcomed repeat, and worthy of kicking-off this week's episode. Check out the video on Last Week's review.

Apples in Stereo - Can You Feel It.
Yay! A great band, a great song... though an average video. Check out my entry on seeing them at the Grog Shop.

The Automatic Automatic - Monster
Haven't heard of these guys, but it's an entertaining video.

Katastrophe - The Life
I truly enjoy the interviews in-between videos and this week's interviews have been with Katastrophe. Getting the background and some context about the artist and their music gives me more respect for them. For Katastrophe I have have much more respect for him being both transgender and as a rapper.

Modest Mouse - We've Got Everything
Not one of my favorite songs from the album and the video is kinda blah... But it's not going to stop me from seeing them in concert.

Peter Bjorn & John - Young Folks
I've been hearing a lot about these guys lately... a favorite of some of my friends. Though it's one of the artists/albums that have eluded my iTunes. Hearing this again and seeing the video, I'm going to have to check these guys out.

The Kooks - Naive
This is the first time I've heard this song, but D was able to sing it word for word! Turns out he got it on some sampler and has been listening to it a lot. What is it about Brit pop music that's so damn catchy?

!!! - Must Be The Moon
My friend Sarah turned me onto these guys on their last album. Some of the tracks I really liked, some I didn't know what the hell was going on. As for this video... it's a little crazy for my taste, but I have to respect their creativity.

Mute Math - Typical
There's something about videos in reverse that are captivating, though the song doesn't quite do the same. Not horrible.

Feist - 1234
I was very excited to see this video made the show. I saw it on YouTube as soon as it came out... A pretty amazing video if it is continually shot (as it looks). And by far one of my favorite new albums.
